Maria!About
Hi, I’m Maria. I graduated as business economist with a master’s degree in European Tourism Management. Today, I run my own company specializing in network marketing and leadership. My focus, and expertise, is training others to develop their businesses to their true potential.
My differentiators are the fact that I am service-oriented, result-oriented, interested in leadership and possess a broad network of contacts among companies.
During most of my career, I have been active in business whether it be consulting, business development, corporate financing or issues related to growing international footprints and exports. I have also successfully built and developed my own company in the travel industry.
For 10 years, I was the CEO of a regional business organization, the purpose of which was to strengthen both the marketing activities and business volume in my designated region.
During my tenure, the team and I worked hard to gain clarify on what was our core business, how it was perceived, and consequently managed to triple our membership.
I have been fortunate to acquire a deep and wide-ranging knowledge, and experience of entrepreneurship. Building on this skillset, I have for the last few years, brought my attention to leadership and group dynamics.
I wanted to go back to my business roots, and discovered a powerful model in which I can combine my interests and experiences in order to empower others to achieve more ambitious goals and succeed in business. My commitment and main driver is my ability to attract people and inspire or motivate.
I currently run my own company in Network Marketing and have built an organization counting over 150 independent Business Owners. I continuously assist them in developing their businesses. The tool I use is network marketing and the company I chose to work with is called Forever Living, which is a global health company and a world leader in Aloe Vera products.
My multi-disciplinary background, which includes a 4-year technical background and a few years as a medical engineer, as well as tourism studies at the Dalarna University and the international master program European Tourism Management (ETM).
During the last jam-packed year of study, a significant part of the curricula was focused on group work with students from various nations. This helped me learn how to work under pressure and deal with conflicts, both cultural and individual. This all-important skill has been invaluable to me in my business dealing and within the management of my organization.
At home, I prefer spending time with my family or being active as a group training instructor or participate in various Rotary engagements. I love sports and outdoor activities and usually I’m a happy, positive and active person!
